Ladies of the 80s

I love Alamo Drafthouse!  It is fun to go watch movies there and they have lots of fun events.  Last night's event was a Ladies of the 80s sing along.  A friend of mine and I decided to get in our 80s gear (which I have used ALOT lately, sorry bout that) and go see the show.  We got worried that we might be the only ones dressed up... but that certainly wasn't the case... I live in AUSTIN!!  haha!

Here is a collage of the videos we got to sing along to during the show.  There was Pat Benatar, Whitney Houston, Madonna, Paula Abdul, Olivia Newton John, The Bangles, Tiffany, and many, many more!  I was very little when MTV came out and I lived in the "sticks" and couldn't get cable.  So the only way I have seen any of these videos before was on VH1 "I LOVE THE 80s" series.  So it was great to see these and sing along.

I highly recommend this show to anyone and everyone who loves to watch videos and sing!  It was a great girls night!  Last night, and at every sing along I have ever been to, they handed out props.  We had 99 red balloons (to blow up and play with during that video), streamers for True Colors, confetti poppers to use during Whitney Houston's I Want to Dance with Somebody, a mini trampoline, and blow up dolls to throw around during It's Raining Men!  As always anyone can dance in the isles, by their seats, or even get up on stage to shake it!  It was so fun and full of laughs.   Check out Alamo Drafthouse the website and the calendar to see when it comes to your area!
