Welcome to MY world

A small glimpse into my life of friends and fun! The times of a fiesty young professional and her(sometimes) wacky adventures.

Jersey Boys!

*Finally a new post- sorry it took so long.  August is such a busy month as school starts back up and take ALL of my time.  Posts should come more regularly now!

I had a fantastic weekend last week that involved friends, family, food, theater and 6th street!  Phew!  It was the PERFECT weekend!

My weekend started off with staying at work late on Friday getting things ready for our next week.  Some teammates, who double as friends (LUCKY ME), and I decided to head out to get dinner.  We did have lots of fun at Buffalo Wild Wings, as you can see below.

Explain- Ok, so the table of young people behind us were begging their parents for money to play MJ on the jukebox.  Lucky for me i have friends that are always prepared.  So of course I donned the legendary "GLOVE" and sang to MJ until our bill arrived.  And the hat... you wonder??  Yes, that was from our server.  We put it on upon finding our table and wore them the whole time (of course)!

See, I am not the only silly one!  =)

We had fun!

Then finally it was SATURDAY, and time for a delicious brunch at Z'Tejas! YUM!

All the girls who were going to see Jersey Boys decided to meet up at Z'Tejas before going to the show.  We met up for brunch and of course mimosas.  My mom, bro, and sis-in-law met us at brunch too.  Thank goodness they did because I didn't take any pictures.  Here are some my sis-in-law took.

This is not everyone from brunch, but it is all that got in the picture.  I love these girls... all of them; and those that are missing too!  Thanks for a fabulous afternoon, ladies!

This is my brother trying to get a bad picture of me.  I kept noticing him zooming in on me sooooo... I just kept smiling and holding it.  I already knew what he was doing, and I wasn't giving in.  Haha!!
My gorgeous mom and handsome little brother at brunch!

Us at intermission a little over half way through the show!

An amazing picture of the girls after the show.

For anyone who has not seen Jersey Boys, I highly recommend it.  Especially if you get good seats.  My first show (around April 2008) was unbelieveable.  I might not have thought the world of it right then, I mean I enjoyed it and had fun mocking the actors dance moves with my grandma, but the more shows I see, the better JB was!  This time, in order to get a large group to committ, we reserved seats that were farther away and it really wasn't the same.  I am not sure any of them enjoyed it as much as I hyped it up, but to me, it was still amazing.

Here is a small clip that shows what a fun show it is!
It is a must see.  I have now been to TWO performances, and will go to see it whenever it is near!  Its a great story, kind of like an E! True Hollywood Story of the Four Seasons.

After the show, there was a bit of down time before heading to 6th Street for dinner at Iron Cactus.  It was a good night for patio dining and drinks.  We sat out under the stars, resting above 6th Street and had a nice dinner.
 Me and my magnificent mother!
This was the first picture, but I look like I am not wearing anything, so we retook (the picture above) to get a better view.

Me and HW enjoying dinner with my fam!

After dinner, we made our way down 6th Street.  Boy, was that INTERESTING, to say the least.  We finally made it to Cedar Street to see the SPAZMATICS play.  It was super hot, and insanely crowded.  I couldn't get to my drink much less my camera... hence, no pictures.  But it was another great time, and a great ending to an exciting day.

Sunday, HW and I woke up to go have breakfast with my family before they headed back to the H.  We all had so much fun.  I can't wait till they want to come back to visit my beautiful city again!
