This year was yet another annual trip to the river! This weekend is simply my most favorite of the year. It is the first float of the season with great friends all staying at a neat cabin and having a blast. This year we went a little later (Saturday night) but still jumped right in and enjoyed our stay. We started off at Daisy Dukes, a Saturday tradition, then back to the cabin for games, music, and laughter. We got to float with many of the people who floated Saturday (except for the lame Katy boys that headed back early Sunday morning) on what was said to be a much better float because we really didn't have to walk as much as they did the day before. It was a perfect float. Oh, except that part of the group got on the water without enough beer. We had to send 3 boys on a mission up the river bank to fetch more beer... minutes later they returned with all arms full of cases- a sight to see for sure. After the float and a nice grilled dinner we headed out to see the SPAZMATICS. We danced the night away- it was amazing! The "troopers" stayed and floated again on Monday too! Then after getting all cleaned up we headed to San Marcos for dinner and drinks! It was another Marvelous Memorial Day!
