September is a special month in my family. My brother and my "Meemz" celebrate their birthdays on the same day. So every year when we get together to celebrate we do everything big.
Every other year we try to rent a beach house in Galveston, TX. For a few years we would rent different houses, until we found the perfect one for our group. We have rented some really great houses in the past but we finally found one that is perfect for us. Now we have been renting the same house for years. It is on the beach, allows pets, and sleeps just the right amount.
Let me tell you... after being in school for 3 weeks it was the perfect get away. Plus, I got to watch the UT game with my family, and then on Sunday we all watched the TEXANS win the season opener against the COLTS.

I simply love Galveston. I am so glad that our rental wasn't too damaged in the hurricanes. It was so sad to jog along the beach in the mornings and look at all the boarded up homes. I can't help but wonder what is going to happen to those homes. The damage was done a long time ago, and nothing has changed yet. Why not? I just don't get it. Anyway, I can't wait to go back! Great times... Great memories!
Looks like so much fun!! I'd love info on that house...we looked at some this summer but didn't do anything about it. I'd love to rent one that someone I know has already been to!
