Welcome to MY world

A small glimpse into my life of friends and fun! The times of a fiesty young professional and her(sometimes) wacky adventures.

Memorial Day Traditions

Well, this update won't be as fun ONLY because I do not own a waterproof camera.  *Note- I need to purchase a good one- ASAP*  Come to think of it... I am pretty sure this is a good thing, because those GUADALUPE RIVER floats can get pretty wild!  0=)

I love the tradition that has become the Memorial Day float.  No matter where I stay or who the company is... I am always ready for the trip.  Saturday is always the float.  Then Saturday night is the concert (this year it was CCR- CROSS CANADIAN RAGWEED, mom).  Here are some pictures of the "river rats" we ran into on the at Whitewater Rocks
 Katy Boys...
 Can't live with them...
Can't live without them.  I mean... look at them?!!
 Boys tell secrets too!
Yikes... remember this is after a full day of floating!
 NIIIIICE BOX T!  Thanks!
 Bad News Bears... hehe!
 finally, a better shot!
Last one!
Sunday is day two of floating.  Many are "weak and lame" and don't go for day two, but this year we had some troopers and everyone went.  Day two I spent in a RAFT!  In the past I just "would NOT" float in a tube, but this year, with the water being high and all it was fine! I do love my RAFT though!  Sundays float was so nice, not too hot, and lots of fun!  Afterwards many crashed early but three of us girls hung out and laughed all night long!  I have a "book" of notes to prove it.  We were writing down all the weird things I said... and lets just say after two river floats and several days of vacation, the things coming out of my mouth became weirder and weirder!  Hilarious!  I go back and read them and laugh and laugh.
So, Mondays float is only for the "die hards!"  That would be MinMc, M, and Me.  However, this year, MinMc couldn't make it due to her having to return to Houston.  So... the "troopers" decided to float.  We did the horseshoe twice and had a hard time leaving.  The rest of the afternoon consisted of a San Marcos dinner time stop at the River Pub.  And then a long drive back to Austin.

The end to yet another perfect Memorial Day on the GUADALUPE RIVER!

*Now, had I had that waterproof camera... we would all be in trouble.  Don't worry friends it is at the top of my wishlist, fingers crossed for next year.  =)
